Sarah is originally from Boonville, Missouri. She came to Nebraska to play softball and basketball at Peru State College, in Peru, Nebraska. Prior to Peru, Sarah attended North Central Missouri College in Trenton, MO, where she played both softball and basketball as well. She received her Associates of Arts Degree from NCMC, in 2003. In her collegiate career, she earned numerous honors and awards throughout her playing career. These include all conference in dual sports, all district, and all region honors, as well as Conference Newcomer of the Year. She graduated with her Bachelors degree in Sports Management in 2005.
