Jon Reckewey - Tennis Staff

Jon Reckewey joined NTC in December, 2009 as a Teaching Staff. Jon is available to work with all levels and ages but with an emphasis on our competitive junior players. Before joining our team, Jon spent the last two years working for prestigious facilities like Westside Tennis in Houston and Overland Park Racquet Club in Kansas City. While in Houston, Jon had the opportunity to serve as a hitting partner for ATP professionals playing at the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championships. His stay in Overland Park included working for the Mike Wolf Tennis Academy and traveling with some of the best junior players in the Missouri Valley and the Nation.

As a junior player himself, Jon won two National Junior Open Tournaments and was ranked #1 in the Missouri Valley in the Boy’s 14’s, 16’s and 18’s before moving on to compete for the Baylor University Tennis Program. While at Baylor, Jon helped win a National Title in 2003-2004. Although Jon focused on helping the team primarily in doubles, he was a quarterfinalist in the 2005 ITA Regional Championships in Singles. His understanding of teamwork and keen insight into player dynamics made Jon an ideal doubles player. These skills enabled Jon to reach an NCAA ranking of #6 in the Nation, win the 2005 ITA Regional Championships, and be named to the NCAA All Tournament Team. These doubles skills eventually led Jon to an appearance in the Waco Pro Futures Doubles Finals.
